Buenas Prácticas para un Turismo Sostenible:

1. RECOMENDACIONES PARA LOS TURISTAS:

 

• Al planificar su viaje, elija aquellos proveedores que le ofrezcan garantías de calidad y de respeto a los derechos humanos.  

• Utilice los recursos naturales, como el agua y la energía, con moderación. Recuerde que son bienes escasos.

• Trate de minimizar la generación de residuos. Son una fuente de contaminación.

• Cuando tenga que deshacerse de un residuo, hágalo de la manera más limpia que le facilite su lugar de destino.

• En un espacio natural procure que la única huella que deje atrás sea la de su calzado.

• Si visita ecosistemas sensibles, como arrecifes de coral o selvas, infórmese de cómo hacerlo para causar el menor impacto posible y no degradarlos.

• Al comprar regalos y recuerdos busque productos que sean expresión de la cultura local. Favorecerá la economía de los pueblos que le acogen y la diversidad cultural.

• No adquiera flora y fauna protegida por el Convenio de Comercio Internacional de Especies Amenazadas de Fauna y Flora Silvestres (CITES), ni productos derivados de dichas especies. Es un delito y contribuye a su extinción.

• En su destino disfrute conociendo la cultura, costumbres, gastronomía y tradiciones de las poblaciones locales. Respételas y acérquese a ellas, tienen mucho que contarle.

• Trate de contribuir con su presencia al desarrollo de un turismo responsable y sostenible, construyendo con su viaje un planeta más saludable y solidar

2. QUE DEBE HACER UN TURISTA  RESPONSABLE:

 

• Ábrase a las culturas y tradiciones distintas de las suyas: su experiencia se verá transformada, usted se ganará el respeto de la población local, y ésta lo acogerá más fácilmente. Sea tolerante y respete la diversidad; observe las tradiciones y las prácticas sociales y culturales del lugar.

• Respete los derechos humanos. Cualquier forma de explotación vulnera los objetivos fundamentales del turismo. La explotación sexual infantil es un delito punible, tanto en el lugar donde se lleve a cabo como en el país de residencia de quien lo cometa.

• Ayude a conservar el entorno natural. Proteja la flora y la fauna silvestres y su hábitat, y no compre productos elaborados a partir de plantas o animales en peligro.

• Respete los recursos culturales. Las actividades turísticas deben practicarse con respeto por el patrimonio artístico, arqueológico y cultural.

• Su viaje puede contribuir al desarrollo económico y social. Compre artesanía y productos locales para apoyar la economía del lugar, y aténgase a los principios del comercio justo. Cuando regatee, tenga presente el concepto de salario justo.

• Antes de salir de viaje, infórmese sobre la situación sanitaria efectiva de su destino y sobre el acceso en él a servicios consulares y de emergencia, y asegúrese de que su salud y su seguridad personal no correrán peligro. Cerciórese de tener cubiertas allí sus necesidades específicas (alimentación, accesibilidad o atención médica) antes de decidirse a viajar a un destino determinado.

• Reúna toda la información posible sobre su destino, y dedique tiempo a entender sus costumbres, normas y tradiciones. Evite los comportamientos que puedan ofender a la población local.

• Infórmese de la legislación vigente para no cometer ningún acto que se considere delictivo en el país visitado. No trafique con drogas, armas, antigüedades, especies protegidas, ni productos o sustancias peligrosos o prohibidos por los reglamentos nacionales.

5. NORMATIVIDAD

​

• Ley 1098 de 2006 contra la explotación laboral infantil.

• Ley 1482 de 2011 y Ley 1752 de 2015 que protege los derechos de las personas contra actos de racismo y discriminación, sanciona penalmente la discriminación contra las personas con discapacidad.

• Ley 17 de 1981 y Ley 1333 de 2009 contra el comercio internacional de especies amenazadas de fauna y flora silvestre.

• Ley 63 de 1986 y Ley 1185 de 2008 Comercio de bienes culturales, Resolución 0584 de 2002 sobre especies silvestres amenazadas en el territorio nacional.

• Ley 679 de 2001, Ley 1336 de 2009, Resolución número 3840 de 2009 sobre la prevención del comercio y explotación sexual con menores de edad a través del turismo, rechazando toda forma de explotación sexual y demás formas de abuso a menores de edad.

• Ley 1335 de 2009 Prevenir daños a la salud de menores de edad, población no fumadora.

Good Practices for Sustainable Tourism:

1. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SUSTAINABLE TOURISM:

 

•  When planning your trip, choose those providers who offer guarantees of quality and respect for human rights and the environment.

•  Use natural resources, such as water and energy, in moderation. Remember that they are limited goods.

•  Try to minimize the generation of waste. They are a source of contamination.

•  When you have to dispose of a waste, do it in the cleanest way you can get your destination.

•  In a natural space make sure that the only footprint left behind is that of your footwear.

•  If you visit sensitive ecosystems such as coral reefs or jungles, find out how to do so to minimize impact and do not degrade them.

•  When buying gifts and souvenirs look for products that are an expression of the local culture. It will favor the economy of the peoples that welcome it and      the cultural diversity.

•  Do not purchase flora and fauna protected by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) or products      derived from such species. It is a crime and contributes to its extinction.

•  At your destination, enjoy knowing the culture, customs, gastronomy and traditions of local populations. Respect them and come close to them, they have    much to tell you.

•  Try to contribute with your presence to the development of responsible and sustainable tourism, building with your trip a healthier and more solid planet.

2. THE TOURIST AND THE RESPONSIBLE TRAVELER

 

• Open up to cultures and traditions different from yours: your experience will be transformed, you will gain the respect of the local population, and it will accommodate you more easily. Be tolerant and respect diversity; Observe the traditions and social and cultural practices of the place.

• Respect human rights. Any form of exploitation violates the fundamental objectives of tourism. Child sexual exploitation is a punishable offense, both in the place where it is carried out and in the country of residence of the person who commits it.

• Help conserve the natural environment. Protect the wild flora and fauna and their habitat, and do not buy products made from endangered plants or animals.

• Respect cultural resources. Tourism activities should be practiced with respect for the artistic, archaeological and cultural heritage.

• Your trip can contribute to economic and social development. Buy handicrafts and local produce to support the local economy, and abide by the principles of fair trade. When you bargain, keep in mind the concept of just pay.

• Before leaving on a trip, inquire about the actual health status of your destination and about your access to consular and emergency services, and ensure that your health and personal safety are not endangered. Make sure you have covered there your specific needs (food, accessibility or medical care) before deciding to travel to a certain destination.
